Review content:
My son goes to Bearfoot in Sachse and I am not convinced that he is receiving the best care, particularly for the VERY expensive rates that they charge. In front of you they are all over the kids and very sweet, out of sight they are rough handling them and just seem to leave them to their own devices - fighting, biting, scratching, hitting etc. How do I know? Well I watched for a 5-10 minute period stood back from the window so that the kids or the TEENAGERS looking after them could not see me.\r
\r
One fundamental flaw is the over-crowding, there are too many kids in each room! If Bearfoot really wants to shine as a daycare then they need to have LESS than the law permits per teacher, then perhaps the high fees would be worth the money if the kids were to get more attention from the 'adults' (usually teenagers, the older adults seem to do very little). \r
I have ZERO confidence in the manager's ability to be able to Police his/her staff to give the children the care that they need. The big smiles and bubbly personalities that you see and hear when you're looking to put your childs name on the list are not the same smiling faces you'll see the first day that you drop your child off, on the contrary.......one of the girls on the desk is an absolute misery - I think she's actually glued to one of the chairs.....she may even be a manakin!\r
\r
If the manager has an ounce of quality control in the building, SOMEONE should be reading these reviews and using the info to help create a better environment for our most prescious possession....our kids. \r
This place is not what you think it is going to be. If you have a toddler you will hear from them by phone at least once a week telling you that your child bumped his head or was bitten 5 times, frankly.....if the care was any good you'd hardly ever get these calls - right?!\r
Give due dilligence if you decide to put your child into this daycare, watch, listen and react to the manager because he/she is ultimately responsible.
Pros: Cute and fun activities, proximity to home, clean.
Cons: Expensive, over-crowded classes, below average supervision.
