Review content:
I live in Wake Forest, about 4 minutes from Blue Fins, so I have eaten there quite a few times, for both lunch and dinner. I've had one meal that missed the mark, but mostly I have had some very good food there and friendly, down-to-earth service. Check out the Buffalo Chicken Salad for lunch - my husband and I are addicted to it. The turkey ciabatta is really good, and the onion rings are honestly the best I've ever had. Crunchy, not greasy, and the onion doesn't slide out of its coating when you bite into it. I don't even really like onion rings, but I could eat these all day. The southwestern egg rolls on the appetizer menu are also yummy. My friend got a fish dish that was coated in toasted almonds that he raved about - too bad it wasn't a regular menu item! I understand they have live music on certain nights too - one day we're going to check that out, along with their impressive martini menu. Fun stuff. Glad those of us in Wake Forest don't have to drive far to get good food, music, and drinks anymore. Hopefully the success of Blue Fins will encourage other high quality restaurants to migrate north.
Pros: Good Food, Local Flavor
