I had my wedding reception in 2007 here, right after my wedding at the Bolin Chapel on Pin Oak Rd. \r \r Right off the bat, the booking was a shady experience, as the owner did not tell me there was another wedding booked for the second half of the day until AFTER I had booked. She had previously informed me she did not do more than one big event in a day. I let that go, and luckily that wedding cancelled. \r \r Still a few months later into planning, one of her other weddings had a fight, and she proceeded to tell me that her new policy was that EVERYone had to pay security (which was contrary to my signed contract, because I had less than the required amount of people). I told her ""no"", I had a signed contract already, and my wedding was going to have a bunch of old people and no alcohol - no reason for security. This was where it got ugly...\r \r She became angry, threatened to utilize her ""lawyer husband"", took away amenities she had previously offered me (but that were not enlisted in the contract), and this was less than 2 months before a wedding I had been planning over a year!\r \r I dealt with tears, legal arguments, meetings, etc. If you don't want the stress, I would go somewhere else. Planning a wedding is too stressful on its own. Pros: pretty Cons: unproffesional, at the mercy of weather
