Review content:
This was a great hands on course! Todd S. is an incredible instructor that I have had the good luck to attend two of his trainings.
This course brought the importance of the role of Safety Officer and Hazmat dangers into clear focus. Todd gave great examples of how to succeed or fail any operations because of the safety officers ability to oversee and manage the scene, responders, command staff and most importantly the IC.
Additionally, we all had the opportunity to "play" with substances safely because of Todd's thorough instruction of the substances that were on hand to examine. If something was unclear or vague about any part of the course, Todd would take the time to go back and make procedures, chemical properties, dangers clear without making a huge deal out of the problem. That was very important to me as I will be dealing with more than just chemical response.
I would definitely recommend this course and more importantly Todd to any of my response partners. Thank you Todd for the great class and your valued expertise in the response arena!
