Review content:
In a personal opinion, after spending 11 years of my life at Anita's Dance Center, I would be sketchy about joining the studio. I was a student at the studio back when they were in a small, confined space with three seperate studio rooms for classes, before the bogus, and expensive, expansion. As the Piggly Wiggly next door closed down and Anita decided to buy the space, the prices for classes began to gradually rise until my parents were paying nearly 30$ a week for me to take dance classes. I joined the Junior Dance Company after 8 years of regular classes, and was incredibly thrilled at the start. It was then that I started to hate dance more and more. We had practices at least three times a week, and God-forbid you have to miss a lesson. Some reviews say you had to pay for the weeks you missed, but that's not true, but you would get yelled at or at least a fierce talking to if you missed a class. The teachers were high school or college students with little to no teaching experience and generally taught classes they were unfamiliar with. Technique at Anita's is a joke, although recitals may be fun to watch. After a disagreement and false accusation by the co-owner, Miss Julie Parker, I decided to leave the studio. I yearned to dance again at other studios, but I was turned down by all of them because ""Anita's dancers have no technique, and trying to teach them technique at 15 years old is a lost cause. Unless you want to take classes with the 4 year olds, I suggest you find another studio."" And that was how my dancing career ended.
