Review content:
I find myself agreeing with the negative reviews 100%. As a former member of the dance company, I can honestly say that I don't know how I ever put up with the constant verbal abuse and personal attacks that I and other girls suffered. Looking back, I regret not going to a better studio. You DO pay for the classes you miss, after the first 3. I am from a middle class family and it was difficult affording the classes and new costumes, which are very overpriced. For those in a company, find yourself dancing in unconvenient locations with no audience (i.e. a gravel road) and no sound system. Focus is solely on competition team and dances are poorly thrown together in a few days. There is nothing to say about technique because none is taught, and what is is very outdated and ineffective. The talent I had while at Anitas I taught myself or learned from poms. Dont plan on being involved in any other studios or sports while at Anita's, you will be kicked out or threatened. They pick favorites, and even if you devote your heart and soul to dancing, you may be treated unfairly. If you are a parent, plan on devoting much time to the studio if you want your child to have a fair chance. Expect to be accused of not paying, when in most cases you did. Plan on rumors being said about you. To me, dance was my life. It is very sad to say that Anita's ruined that passion for me. I was verbally attacked publicly for being sick, and many times I left dance crying for hours. There were many times when I felt like quitting because I was so unhappy with how I was treated. Anita's concern is not for what's best for her students, but what will make her the most money. She hides behind her ""christian values."" Anitas is demeaning, uncomfortable, and highly unprofessional. While some may refer to me as a ""disgruntled student,"" I can only say that I speak from personal experience, and I know many others who would agree with me. Please do not make the same mistake I did.
Pros: Free Parking
Cons: Expensive, Inexperienced Teachers, Lack of Quality
