To put it bluntly, the Irish Emigrant is a terrible bar. What was once a beautiful neighborhood Irish pub has transformed itself into something completely different under its new management. It's more of a nightclub now, than anything else. Gone is the quaint Irish band that sat in the booth near the entrance playing their violins. They have been replaced by bartenders that spin bottles and cocktail shakers. I swear I saw a velvet rope outside the bar one night.\r \r I didn't realize this place had changed, and brought some friends one night. It was actually embarrassing.\r \r This is a terrible bar, even by the Ave's standards. I'd actually prefer to go to Earl's... That's something I never thought I'd say. Pros: Next to several bars that are more fun. Cons: bad atmosphere, terrible service, NOT AN IRISH PUB.
