This is not a Denny's and is an AUTHENTIC, REAL HONEST TO GOD CHINESE RESTAURAUNT.\r \r Don't expect english on a Berlitz level, the staff will be a bit unsure to see non-chinese eating there.\r \r Expect real Hong-Kong style chinese dishes.\r \r You know a place has good chinese when the chinese eat there all the time.\r Pressed roasted duck, traditional chinese meats, conch, abalone, snails, scallops, frogs legs, live fish, and unbelievable hong kong multi-course meals for one price.\r \r The multi-course experience is something only found in NYC and China.\r Plain and simple this place is unique, from the calligraphy on the menus to the\r coca-cola in green glass bottles. Expect a very down to earth experience.\r \r Americans have come to expect msg laden, sugar and salt contrived nonsnese that is called chinese food.\r The authentic soups, appetizers, noodles and dimsum shine. The duck is to die for, for those who love duck.\r \r Startlingly affordable prices. Sub $10 prices for half a pressed duck. Read that again, and begin walking out the door right now. The soups are wonderfully authentic and for the beginner I recommend you avoid fish or conch. For those with a taste for real chinese, the soups and congee are great dishes. \r \r A good experience would be many appetizers, and a shared meal of duck.\r \r For those who are worldly in their palate, this place is a mom-n-pop godsend in the middle of \r the wasteland that is New Jersey. \r \r Do not go unless you are: \r Willing to try something very different than you've ever tried before. (conch/frog legs anyone?)\r Sort of know what to expect from real chinese food. \r Understand that duck is a fatty dish and must be eaten a certain way. \r Adventurous and of the world ! Tallyho!\r \r If you are not looking for an adventure, go to the local ""chinese"" buffet.\r \r I will be eating the pressed duck, chinese roast pork, steaming bamboo baskets of shrimp dimsum, and become very, very happy. Pros: Real honest to god chinese food, not to be found in may place oustide china. Cons: For the inexperienced, the food can be startling or alien.
