I've Lived in Maine for most of my life with the exception of about ten years that I lived in San Diego, CA. During that thime I spent a lot of time in Mexico and had plenty of opportunity to sample authentic Mexican cuisine. I have to say that the cuisine here is pretty authentic. It is prepared and served just as I have had it on Mazatlan or Ensenada. I too was a little taken aback by the very negative review by HereinAlbion. I think that some ""medium"" sized women may have been a little too heavily influenced by the fast food style mexican that you get in most places. We really enjoy eating here a few times a year and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good meal and a good margarita. I happen to know that they are made fresh, as is all of the food here! (For those of you searching for real Mexican in Waterville, don't be tempted by Cancun...I couldn't even eat the food...just saying...)
