Review content:
I am a wedding coordinator so when I saw a new bakery opening in the Apex area, I decided to check them out as a potential vendor for my brides. On two separate occasions, months apart, I went into the bakery and requested information on cake flavors, ordering info, and contact info. I introduced myself to Donna Ford at the first scouting trip to Sweet Memories and you would think that a business owner would go out of their way to schmooze up potential business with a wedding coordinator but nope, she left me unimpressed. I had already taken the effort to visit her bakery, I wasn't about to play the game of begging her to give me information on her business that I could share with my brides. The second try I made months later, I interfaced with a young woman who appeared to absolutely hate her job. If this was the ""face"" of Sweet Memories Bakery being presented to customers, it raised a BIG red flag for me because what if there was a problem with a cake in the future? Is this the level of professionalism we could expect? This female employee was incapable of giving me any information. At the time Sweet Memories offered appetizers for sale yet I could not get a list of what those appetizers were or pricing. I was invited to leave my email address and told I would get that info emailed to me. It never arrived. Leaving my phone number never resulted in any return calls either. To me, these are red flags that signal potential problems. A customer should never have to chase after a wedding vendor to get basic information. Based on my interactions with this business, I do not refer Sweet Memories Bakery to brides and steer them away should they inquire about it.
