I recommend everyone who is looking for a spa to get laser treatment to go see Angela. I can't compliment her enough, she's extremely knowledgeable, and one of the best professionals that you will have the pleasure to work with.
I will try to be brief, but I had one of the worse experiences before I finally found Spa Astoria. I was unfortunately a victim of one of the biggest laser centers scams out there (you may know which one I am referring to). I spent almost $3K for laser treatments and in the period of 3 years, I didn't see one hair falling in my body. I was so frustrated and sad because the technicians of that center started telling me that it was due to the quality of my hair and skin... so I was not responding to the laser treatment. What???
Thank God I didn't believe them and started calling some spas and finally I got a hold of Angela. I could not believe that without even knowing me, she was so kind to spend time on the phone explaining the difference between lasers, skin tones, types of hair, etc. She offered for me to come to her spa so she could do an evaluation. There was hope! Besides the distance - I live in Midtown, I went to Canton to meet her. I had a great first impression; the place is clean, organized, and it is indeed equipped with the best lasers in the market (I learned that after doing some serious research.) Angela right away told me that there was nothing wrong with the quality of my hair and skin tone, that in fact I was the best candidate - light skin/dark hair.
I started treatment with Angela right away, and I was astonished that after one week I started seeing some hair falling. I was so happy! I went through 8 treatments for my legs, under arm, and some areas here and there.... Some areas are a little bit harder to respond, but I can't complain.
It has been one year since my treatment and I still don't have a lot of hair growing back. Angela will be honest with you and tell you that laser treatment requires maintenance. The hair eventually grows back a little, but very thin, and in patches. No big deal for me at all. I used to have to shave twice a day if I wanted a smooth skin. Nowadays, I even forget to shave. It's no longer part of my routine.
If you live in Canton, lucky you. If you live in Atlanta, Buckhead, somewhere far, please don't let the distance discourage you. This spa is the best one you can find.
I only don't say that because I got great results, but I know that Angela also provides the best skin care products and procedures. She carries the same products and peeling methods that are offered by my Dermatologist (and he is also excellent.)
She really knows what she is doing, and I guarantee you that you will be in great hands.
