Sonic Drive-In is an over-rated, over-priced chain that tends to serve food luke-warm to cold. At this particular location I have tried a dozen or so beverages and meals. The last meal my dining partner and I was far too typical. It took 15 minutes for someone to say ""hello"" over the speaker but they vanished for 5 more before taking our order. If I had not enjoyed the conversation with my companion, I would have left.\r Our order had to be repeated back 3 times and even then when delivered it was missing one item and one item was wrong. The food varied from cold to barely warm. The cheese on my chili-cheesedog wasn't even melted and looked as though it was added as an after thought. \r For a below average meal our bill came to more than $20 plus tip. Though I rarely spout the goodness of chains I wish we had visited Applebee's where my companion would have had a much better burger and we both would have had warm, fresh fries. \r Our waitress was friendly, tried to be accommodating, and always had a smile. She was tipped well for her personal service. This is a good time to remind diners that you are tipping for the service and not for the quality of food. \r The cook did not time preparation properly and that is what led to our food not being of proper heat. We were parked where we were able to see inside of the establishment. \r One thing about national chains is you can count on consistency. This is true for Sonic Drive-in as well. Based on all of the Sonic's I have stopped at to review, they've been consistently poor.\r \r About the reviewer: I refuse to write a review on an establishment with less than 6 meals-not all my own, but all I can try. I've had meals varying from $1000 per plate to $2.99 early bird specials. I've worked in the field for many years & expect a certain level of service, even at a hole-in -the-wall. I've written reviews for a small New England paper & dine in family to up-scale establishments. Pros: It's a cutesy place to take a kid for an over-priced sundae. Cons: The food is always poor, the cost is far too high, and it's hard to get the same server more than once
