Review content:
The worst nightmare ever - Special Movers, Inc's scam involved a low quote over the phone (they wouldn't send someone over), a bunch of blank contracts they make you sign at the start of the packing, and the price will shoot all the way up by more than $2500 once loaded. Oh yes, the best part is the ""long distance carrier"" charges - over $400 to walk to the elevator from my apartment and from the building to the truck right outside the building. They keep changing their date of arrival, and held my stuff hostage for more and more money sent through Western Union to some unidentified woman. No receipts given! You have to xerox the bill of lading yourself. Very threatening with charges: ""pay up or else"" kind of ultimatums. Reps (fake names like Jasmine, and probably the same woman by the names of Donna, Michelle, Rose etc) on the phone can't even keep their figures straight, so prices keep fluctuating - and agreements of any kind are useless. You pay them and the price goes up yet again and they say pay up or the truck is going back and more charges etc. They are are a joke but not funny when your stuff is being held for ransom. How can they get away with all these? Really like thugs who could care less - broke my stuff and no recourse except a number from their own scam circle. It's really the worst experience of my life.
Pros: Absolutely Nothing!
Cons: Sleepless nights, more stress for your moving, stand to lose everything
