Review content:
We recently closed on a house (April 8th) using the Law Offices of Zachary Cotner as the settlement company. Two weeks later, I wanted to make sure our names were recorded on the country records website. I went to the website (Loudoun County Real Estate) and searched for our property. At the point, I noticed that our names (Mine and my wife’s) were mis-spelled. I was scared that our deed was invalid because our names were incorrect. I called Loudoun county office and they said they the deed was mis-spelled and only the recorder can fix the problem. So I called the Law Offices of Zachary Cotner and spoke with Sharon Ralston, who was the person who recorded the deed. She apologized over and over again stating it was her fault and she would fix it as soon as possible. I asked her to call me in a week to provide me an update. When I didn’t get a call, I called her and she said she is still waiting for the deed, which was in a vault, and as soon as she gets it she will take care of it. Two weeks passed without an update. I called the law office again and spoke with Mr. Cotner and he said he will speak with Sharon right away, take care of it, and then call me back. A week and a half later, I called and asked for an update. I was firm in asking for action to be taken right away because it’s been almost 5 weeks. He stated “shut up Mr. Ok” and hung up on me. I called back and said, “you don’t have to be rude, I just want this fixed”. He repeatedly said I was a “pain” and told me to “shut up!” multiple times throughout the whole conversation. My response was “you don’t have to be rude sir, you don’t have to be rude sir”. I am shaken up by this whole experience. I would like some formal notice to be recorded because Mr. Zotner needs to understand that they made a mistake and it is their responsibility to correct it, especially for a service I paid for. DO NOT USE THEM for their attention is detail on legal transaction is sub-par!
