Review content:
Fresh Fruit and Berries with Vanilla Mint Syrup - The colors were quite inviting & the syrup was not 2 sweet, or overwhelming; but, just the right blend to enhance the fruit's flavors. A Special Salad Tossed in Bon Appetit Dressing - The salad was designed with fresh, crisp butter lettuce, Romaine and spinach leaves adorned with a sprinkling of sunflower seeds and black olives. Alligator Pate with Marinated Vegetables - The pate was firm and tasty, and became a true work of art when dipped in the pink sauce that was unbelievably succulent! The vegetables were perfectly prepared. Filet Mignon Set on Potato Cakes w/Gorgonzola Butter & Merlot Glaze, including Fresh Vegetables and Sweet Potato Croquette and an Abundance of Bread & Butter - A waitress brings fresh bread and real butter to you; but, don't eat more than one, or you might be too full to eat all of the other truly divine dishes. The filet was the most tender, delicious, dreamy morsel of food that I've ever placed in my mouth. My mouth is watering now as I just think about how marvelous that filet tasted. It was a huge filet, too--at least 8 oz's.--more likely 10 oz.'s. It had been covered with a merlot glaze that was just right--it didn't overwhelm the natural taste of the filet--it just added the tiny bit of accompaniment that made the entree sing in harmony. On top of the filet perched enough Gorgonzola Butter 2 eat with each succulent bite. The filet sat on flattened potato cake. The Sweet Potato Croquette could have been on the dessert menu. It was sweet and the outside covering was crunchy and mouth-wateringly delicious. The fresh vegetables were perfectly steamed. Hazelnut coffee and a Virgin Strawberry Daiquiri - the Daiquiri was a bit sweet for me (as I've gotten older, it seems like things taste a bit too sweet for me). The hazelnut coffee was not bitter--it was creamy. Bon Appetit Chocolate Mousse with Pirouline Wafer - It was creamy, sweet & had whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles. Pros: Ambience, Valet parking, large picture windows of sunset, on water, pelicans & sea gulls, live piano music, white linen service Cons: Tiny complaint - Service was a little bit slow; but, it was on a very busy Mother's Day dinner night, and everyone was extremely polite and respectful!
