Review content:
We purchased a new refirgerator/freezer a little over a year ago. I thought it would be a good one that would last for years, Maytag, but this is indeed the worst refrig I have ever purchased. The doors are very hard to close which has led to a service call for ice build-up in the freezer. The service tech took everything out of the freezer and then puts it all together again. As he leaves he tells me to make sure we close the door all the way. Well, two weeks later my wife tries to close the freezer and something is keeping it from closing. A panel had fallen off and was stuck behind the door. She got it out and gave it to me. I thought, no problem, I'll just snap it back in. Well, as I looked at it, I noticed that the service tech had broken both tabs off. So I call Famous Tate and the person who answers says to call the people who handle the warranty work. I call and explain it to them and they say that panels are not covered under warranty and tell me to call another number. At this point we call the store where we bought it frig and ask for their help. They say they can not help us unless we provided them with when it was purchased, when it was repaired. At this point we call the other number where we scheduled a service appointment for repairs. Long story short, they are very nice when you purchase from them but don't count on them to help you if you have a problem with the item you purchased from them. They don't want to be bothered!
