Delicious food and elegant atmosphere. My boyfriend and I went there for Manhattan's Restaurant week to take advantage of the fixed price 3-course dinner. The fact the restaurant is behind a golden trimmed iron gate and has a doorman dressed in white gloves and a rabbit fur Russian winter hat already makes you feel regal walking in. The meal began very well with salmon caviar served with blintz and sour cream. The caviar was fresh and just popped in your mouth. For the entre, my boyfriend had borscht and I had the beef stroganoff. Mine was delicious but I liked his better. Thus began my loves for beets. Then the dessert was extremely fabulous: vanilla bean icecream topped with fresh strawberries drizzled with Grand Marnier reduction. Yum!
