Having read a couple of reviews I was a little cautious about this new restaurant. First of all I couldn't make reservations so I was slightly put off. Arriving @ 7:00pm on Friday 14th It quickly became apparent why no reservations are taken, there was a long line of walk-ins ahead of me. The hostess was busy but efficient and asked about our party (2), she told us it would be a long wait for the patio but inside would be 35-40 mins. No problem! we were served quickly by a friendly and fast bartender. Drinks were great, it certainly didn't feel like it but 25mins later the hostess called our name and we were seated against the back wall of the restaurant. The place was a hive of activity but again water and bread were quickly dropped and the server took our order within 5mins. Starting out with the arugula salad which was crisp and fresh, and the beef carpacio, small but served on a chilled plate(nice touch) we were already quite pleasantly surprised. The entrees soon followed, Beef tenderloin tips that would melt in your mouth certainly did not need the steak knife that the were accompanied by. However it was the halibut that was the most valuable dish of the evening. Crispy on the exterior and yet perfectly cooked inside it was served over a bed of smoky black beans (watch out for the bacon!) and topped with a fruity salsa. WOW! \r There were no desserts available so we retired to the bar after our meal for a post meal drink, we were at the bar no longer then 3 mins and noticed our table had been resat. All in all it was a n excellent experience in a new place I think these guys are only open a few weeks. Pros: excellent food, ambience, quick efficent service Cons: busy, busy, no reservations
