Review content:
I went to the Beacon Street Tavern on Sunday evening and had a good time! While I agree with the previous post's complaints about the host/hostess--they underestimated the wait time for our table, and barely called out our name above speaking level in a loud bar (luckily we weren't to far from the hostess stand)--I thought the food was fantastic. I had the almond crusted goat cheese salad to start and the crispy eggplant for an entree. Both were served quickly and tasted fantastic. The service was good--I don't have any complaints about the way we were treated or the timeliness of getting our drinks and food. The price was very reasonable as well--I've paid more money for similar quality food at other resturants in Boston. There was a long wait at the place, and it was still crowded close to 9 pm on Sunday when we left...I understand why! I'll definitely be going back there again soon.
Pros: Good food for the money, nice ambience, not bad wine list
Cons: host/hostess needs to be better trained
