Review content:
Well, just like the review title says, this cafe is a hidden jewel. It's not perfect, but what is?? On the plus side: fresh, clean food served by nice helpful staff. The inside of the cafe is stylish, especially the wood ceiling...that must have cost a little bit! The menu choices are not just the regular boring stuff. They have some very interesting dishes, I guess inspired by the family's European heritage. Someone said that the family is from Norway (maybe Sweden, I'm not sure).\r
\r
On the other side: the cafe was *packed* when my girlfriend and I went, so the wait time was a little long. I'm not sure I can count that as a negative really...I mean it's not their fault the place is so popular. It was also a touch noisy, but it was fun to be in the middle of all the action. The place had a nice energy.\r
\r
Anyway, the overall experience was fun, and this review is *definitely* positive. I just wish Salt Lake City had more places like this. I mean, really, do we need another Alberto's or Crown Burger?? Salt Lake needs more people like the Finn's family, willing to bring, different, high-quality food to a middle-sized city.
Pros: Fresh, interesting food, served with a smile. Nice patio service in the Spring and Summer!
Cons: A little small, and can be crowded.
