After looking for a good hair salon (believe me I have tried many) I found this salon here. It is highly recommended so I made an appointment with Mary. There's alot of reviews on how wonderful she is and I desperately needed a new look. She was friendly, a bit on the quiet side. She asked what I wanted, I told her to make me look different, I wanted different color highlites. She suggested some colors, I agreed. The end result....my hair looked almost the same. I couldn't really tell the highlites on the top of the head, however, if I lift up about half of my hair up there is tons of highlites on the bottom...who is going to see them on the bottom? I hardly wear my half up. The charge was ALOT, and I mean ALOT. I feel like it is highly recommended, and service is ok. I didn't feel pampered, or important or special....I was just another customer. Mary asked me if anybody had taught me how to take care of my hair after coloring...I said no, she said she would tell me all about it...her next appt came, and she rushed me, to get my eyebrows done (by the way, wonderful job on the eyebrows! someone else did them not Mary). \r
I was very dissapointed....I was expecting so much more based on the reviews here! I want to go to a place where a hairdresser has the knowledge to tell me ""this color would look great with your skin tone"" and go for it. I don't want to go somewhere where I am asked what I want...I don't know! Something different! It has been a month that I went and my hair has lost it's highlites, it looks like I never had it done...it was just soooooo outrageoulsy expensive to look this bad...I will not go back. If I do, it will have to be with Akee, since there are so many reviews about her, I should have just made my appt with her.
Pros: Nice friendly staff, great eyebrown threader!
Cons: Expensive, parking.
