Terrible experience doesn't even begin to describe this place and it's management. We scheduled to return our truck to this location since it's the closest to our new apartment (we moved cross country with no knowledge of the neighborhood in which the place was located). The owner doesn't work the hours listed on the Budget website (staying until 6pm). We arrived around 5pm to drop off our truck and the office was locked, lights off. A drop box was our only option. We called the Budget corporate headquarters to finalize everything the next day only to be told that we were being charged for the broken window and mirror that we left when we ABANDONED our monster truck.
We were dumbfounded...but not. This location is scary. There have already been 9 larcenies this year and there were two robberies there (at BUDGET) the week before we dropped it off. A used condom decorated the parking lot - amazing we noticed it as there was a big commotion across the street during our return (someone getting arrested).
The owner refused to acknowledge that he doesn't work the agreed hours and claimed us to be at fault for a break in that occurred after we dropped the truck off. He refused to file a police report and is adding the repair costs to our bill. We now have to take this up with the corporate office - we'll see how much help they are since they sent us to him to begin with :/
Most unfortunate is the fact that neither this particular location or Budget corporation is Better Business Bureau certified. Don't use them. Ever. And especially not this location.
