We ate at ""Q Restaurant"", which is at this address. I live in Manhattan, and Q would be considered an expensive restaurant there. The food justifies the expense, but the service doesn't. We were a party of 8, and we arrived early on a Saturday (7:15 pm); there were only 3 other tables with smaller parties seated by then. We ordered wine, appetizers, and entrees. The wine and appetizers came fairly quickly, but then there was an hour wait between our appetizers and our entrees. I would have thought that they lost our order, but no other tables were getting food, either. So, no food for an hour and no explanation. We asked them to close a door to an empty porch section, because it was freezing. Well, they didn't do that either until the third request. Finally, the food came out--three filet mignons, then a five minute wait, then three pasta dishes, then another five minute wait, and then remaining dishes with the side dishes last (with no serving spoons for the side dishes), and a few more minutes for grated cheese for the pastas. So three of us have been sitting for ten minutes with our meals getting cold waiting for the rest of our party to be served.\r \r Now, I realize that problems occur, but neither the management nor the waiter came to explain to us any of the problems. It was only after we requested our meal a second time did the manager tell us that two staff had called in sick. Well, that's not my problem--I'm paying for the meal and the service, and the restaurant doesn't lower its prices because its service quality deteriorates (and I do NOT punish a waitperson with a bad tip because of stupid managers). The restaurant made no effort to inform us of a problem, they were not apologetic of the problem, nor did they offer any compensation for the problem (let's face it, a $50 bottle of wine costs them eight bucks).\r \r I can see why it is listed as Quogue Street Management Corporation rather than ""Q Restaurant""--they've changed the name to protect the guilty. Pros: Good food Cons: Bad service, non-accountable management
