\r I recently had my child's Bar Mitzvah there. This is sort of a mixed review some good, some bad. I might say that the affair was mediocre. When my guests arrived the cocktail room was not set up and ready and my guests had to wait in the lobby for 15 minutes. I had to run to find the banquet manager so that the room could be set up. I felt that the banquet manager should have checked on the room to be sure it was set up correctly BEFORE the start time of my party. I was quite embarrassed that my guests had to wait in a steaming hot lobby. The matire'd was fair...there were many times when I couldn't find her and had to ask around in order to locate her. One of my guests found a bug in her salad. I had to ask them to do things that should have been done automatically such as taking the cake away after the candlelighting...kids were dancing and bumping into the cake table. We had a buffet and all of the waiters and the maitre'd were serving the food so there wasn't anyone to clear the tables until after the buffet was closed. In my contract was a frozen drink bar for the kids and they didn't have it at the party. There were supposed to be cookies for the adults and they didn't put those out either. The food was good. They do not have enough wait staff....we had 6 waiters for 128 people...that's one for every 21 people. Nobody ever came around to take drink orders as I've seen in many affairs I've attended. The staff is very young; there is nobody there with much experience which I suspect is the reason things didn't run smoothly. The affair was mediocre at best. The Manor East is good if you are looking for value, but just be aware that you really do get what you pay for. If you are looking for an affair that will run smoothly from beginning to end then go elsewhere.\r \r
