In over 15 years of regular business and personal travel, I have never encountered such terrible hospitality. This motel ranks as the WORST. Some highlights: - Our friend, who booked us, got offered a ""special rate"". The owner reminded us ""Usually the room goes for double the amount"". A big lie. On the internet the room was advertised for $10 below this ""special rate"". - The heating did not work, and the owner did not fix it. Slept in the cold. But couldn't move to another hotel since it was late at night. - Got woken up at 10am by a rude man asking us if we wanted to stay an extra day. We told him we were really tired and would pay for an extra day to sleep in - they had our credit card afternoon. He told us to ""Come over and Pay Right Now if you want to stay"". - We went over to pay and complained about the rude wake-up call in the morning to the lady at the reception (probably his wife). She says ""Oh, he's not rude!"". Almost comically, a man runs in screaming, holding a baton or something and tells us to get out of his hotel. We left immediately, in shock, and laughing since none of us had ever encountered such a terrible hotel experience in their life. They get the one star for having the audacity to offer such terrible service in the hospitality industry in such an economic climate, and still think they can run a business.
