I received an unsolicited USPS mail advertisement, which had as its return address: \r
\r
""SR-14 (Rev 9/06) Processing Distribution Services\r
2102 Nelson Miller Parkway\r
Louisville, KY 40223 \r
\r
OFFICIAL BUSINESS - Do NOT DISCARD\r
\r
YOUR DOCUMENT IS ENCLOSED - OPEN IMMEDIATELY!""\r
\r
Note that there is NO reference to Crest Honda. On the contrary, the intent of the envelope wording appears to be to deceive the recipient into thinking it might contain something of importance...CERTAINLY not an advertisement and solicitation to sell automobiles.\r
\r
I might note that I have NEVER purchased an automobile from this firm. I purchased a part for a 1993 Accord approximately 8-10 years ago, but that is the extent of my past experience with them. Therefore, they are likely purchasing addresses from some spam operator or database of some sort; a cold-call process. I am not sure what type of potential customer would respond to such an attempt to deceive as this--certainly not my type!\r
\r
I, and many of my automobile-buying friends and neighbors, object strongly to such a flagrantly deceptive advertising campaign and will not purchase from a company which participates in one. If they are willing to deceive us in this manner, what OTHER lengths will they go to in order to sell us a product???\r
\r
I call on Crest Honda to cease this type of ad campaign. It is counterproductive and obviously HURTS, rather than HELPS, in securing business from my family, who are generally enthusiastic concerning Honda automobiles. We have had good service from the company's products.\r
