Review content:
We drove up to Blue Moon Cafe from DC based on a friend's recommendation, and holy cow was it good. My family was visiting from North Carolina and we're all kind of gravy and biscuit snobs (or whatever the country bumpkin equivalent is...), so believe me when I tell you it did NOT disappoint! We ordered the one (I think it was the G&G?) with the biscuits, eggs, bacon, and gravy all piled up with yummy hash browns on the side - the gravy was so good, the biscuit so fluffy, and the hash browns had that good crispy layer on them. Then there's the cinnamon buns... Words cannot describe them. Our lovely server (I can't remember her name, but she had a blond ponytail and was there around 2:00 on November 8th) was very attentive and nice, and even comped our cinnamon buns because she brought them what seemed like two minutes after we asked for them! She actually thought that was too long to wait, and even over our protests she didn't charge us. Everything was so good, the servers were so nice, it was well worth the drive and wait. I can see why it made TV!!!
