If you are looking for a nice night out . this is not it. \r Month's ago my husband and I made reservation for Valentine's Day dinner. We were looing for a restaurant that was a favorite for both of us. Georgetown Inn immediately came to mind. We made our reservation at 8:00 and arrived by 7:45. The valet tuned us away no parking available and we had to fiend for ourselves on a snowy and cold night. Strike one. My husband dropped me off and I was going to check in. I was able to step into the door and stood there for 20 minutes trying to make my way to the hostess stand. There was crowd of people so thick I could not move. Each waiting to check in for dinner. The hostess then told me that it did not matter that I had a reservation it would be two hours for a table. She was short with me and very rude and said if I did not want to wait I did not have to. I think she was hoping we would leave so she could get on with what was more important to her certainly it was not service. So we sat at the bar and waited. Perhaps that was the maser plan. The bartender by the way was great. After checking with the hostess periodically we were finally seated a little after 10pm. (Ridiculous) .the waitress although helpful was also not very attentive or friendly. she did not stop back at the table but one. Good thing I was not thursty! If you get a chance for a romantic nght out. dont go to the Georgetown Inn. you will only end up frustrated. Pros: food is good Cons: not welcoming and unfriendly
