Made in Kitchen must have come a long way since Cam's review. We went to Made in Kitchen for dinner on the weekend. Our immediate impression was that the restaurant was very clean and smartly decorated. Great for a casual date or to bring out-of-town guests for contemporary asian cuisine. The host was prompt and very welcoming. Our server was enthusiastic and new his menu well. Well enough to recommend wine pairings for our menu choices. He was also very helpful with answering our questions about the menu choices. The Cafe Sua Da (iced coffee) was prepared fresh for you so you don't have to wait for it to drip at the table. My lychee drink was delicious and refreshing. For an appetizer we enjoyed fresh spring rolls that were well prepared. We ordered Hai nam chicken and one of the restaurants special vermicelli bowls. The Hainam chicken sauce and was the best I've ever tasted and was delicous with the rice. The chicken itself was very tasty - it would have been perfect if it were not just slightly dry. As for the vermicelli combination bowl, that was my favorite. The spring roll in the vermicelli bowl was an enormous roll of mouth watering goodness with generous amounts of prawn. It was more the size of a burrito than a spring roll. The rest of the dish was well done as well. In Seattle there are lots of places to find Asian food for cheaper prices, but if you are looking to impress a date, out-of-town guests, or co-workers, Made in Kitchen offers the food, service, and atmosphere that wont disappoint.
