Our wedding reception in 2008 at La Renaissance in East Windsor, CT was a BIG DISAPPOINTMENT. We had several meetings with their staff to go over details for the reception and when it came to the wedding day they let us down. Their service was very poor. They took more than an hour to serve dinner after serving the salad. Once they finally started serving the main course it took them at least another half hour to finish serving all guests. Our guests were disappointed and there was little time after dinner for dancing and celebrating. Some of our guests didn't even eat the dinner served. We also had significant complaints with La Renaissance not providing what we paid for in the contract. We spent our wedding reception apologizing to our guests rather than celebrating. It was a BAD EXPERIENCE.
I would NOT RECOMMEND using La Renaissance for anyone's wedding reception. Their food quality is not up to standards that other banquet facilities provide and they take no responsibility for any of their actions. There are just too many other terrific banquet facilities in the area to select La Renaissance. I strongly suggest that anyone AVOID selecting them for your wedding reception.
