I've been in the food industry for a while now and I know great food when I come across it. I took my boyfriend to the River Cafe for his birthday and it was absolutely fantastic. I love tasting menus and very rarely will a restaurant let you substitute what's on the tasting menu. I love seafood and my boyfriend is a meat eater. I thought it would be impossible to alter the tasting menu but our waiter went above and beyond to let us create our own tasting menu. All I have to say is the food was FANTASTIC, the service impecable and the restaurant gorgeous. I highly recommend it to everyone.
