Review content:
i've never paid for just a diagnosis, let alone $100, but my other mechanic recommended Superior so fervently, and because I was facing an expensive repair, i thought it would be worth it. much to my chagrin, they charged me $100 only to come back with an estimate approx $15 less than the DEALERSHIP gave me. I mean, if you are not significantly lower than Volkswagon themselves, then you are charging too much for labor. Staff was very nice and gracious, can say that much. RESPONSE FROM Superior Care Auto Center: Dear Amy, We're sorry that you were not completely satisfied with your experience at Superior Care Auto Center. When your mechanic recommended us to you, it was for the same reason that many other shops send customers to us: we have the knowledge, experience, proper training and equipment to solve complex diagnostic and electrical issues that many other cannot. When you first came in, we explained to you in detail that for diagnostic work, we charge based on how long we spend diagnosing the issue that your vehicle is having, which you authorized, acknowledged and signed for. At the time you made no mention that you had already been to the Volkswagen dealership, or what they had found, which would have given us a better idea of where to start looking, therefore reducing the amount of time that we spent diagnosing the issue that you were having. If we did not spend time to diagnose your problem that you already had checked at Volkwagen, you would have saved $103. We make no claims of being the cheapest shop around, but all of our techs stay up to date with the latest training, equipment and software. Furthermore, we operate a properly licensed and insured business, and have a 2-year, 24,000-mile warranty on parts and labor. We're sorry if there was any confusion.
