Review content:
I was thrilled by the service the first time I brought my car to SUPERIOR. This time (the 2nd time) everything was good except they forgot to reset my tire warning light after they rotated and balanced the tires. So, when I got on the highway on Saturday, a very busy work day for me, the tire light went off. I immediately got off the highway and took the tire pressures. They were normal. So I sat around for 25 minutes trying to figure out what to do. I called Superior, but they were closed. I didn't want to get the car towed because I would have lost hundreds of dollars in work last weekend. My work takes me by car to many different places in the city and Jersey. Plus, I wasn't sure if there was actually anything wrong with my car! So I drove slowly and carefully to my 1st job. I arrived late because of the delay.
After reading my car manual and praying for wisdom, I eventually reset the tire warning switch myself. I checked the tire pressure 5 times over the course of the weekend to make sure they were ok. So for someone like myself, who's not a mechanic, a small oversight by Superior caused me a great amount of difficulty! They should understand that an oversight like this can be a real problem. I hope something like this doesn't happen again because my work is demanding and I need my car to run on demand without any lights going off on the dashboard for no apparent reason.
RESPONSE FROM Superior Care Auto Center:
Were very sorry to hear about this. Our technician made sure that he checked your tire pressure when you brought your vehicle in, but he did not need to make any adjustments. Your tires PSI were all at 32 when your car was brought in, which is recorded near the beginning of your bill, along with all of your tires tread depths.
On the majority of cars that we do tire rotations and balances on, the tire light does not need to be reset afterwards; however, that is not the case for Pontiac Vibes. We have since spoken with our technician about this error. We sincerely apologize for the upset in your schedule, as we realize how jarring an unfamiliar light on your dashboard can be. In approximately 6,000 miles (at around 44,631), your Vibe should be due for a tire rotation, which we would like to do for you, for free.
If there is anything else that we can do to make amends, and hopefully restore some of your trust in us, please let us know.
