WOW!!!! I just dined at the Chef in the Forest in Hauser Lake ID. What a wonderful experience. Food was great and unlike most gourmet restaurants you get an ample amount of food that is very reasonably priced. Our dinner of a New York steak and Steak Diane with the trimmings was superb. Service was friendly , attentive and not rushed. We sat back by the fire place, very cozy and romantic. Next time we will sit by the front windows with a view of the lake. The restaurant is not in the middle of a mall or a busy street, which lends to the quiet charm of the place. Thanks Chef in the Forest and staff for a great dining experience. See you soon. Donald
