Review content:
I purchased 2 auctioned gift certificates to Gigi's Salon at a benefit in April 22nd 2007. I knew it expired in 6 mths & had planned to take my friend for her b-day on Oct 16th. On Oct 6th, I was layed off & the certificates were in my desk drawer. After we rec'd our exit packages, we were not allowed to empty our desks only take our personal belongings. Our desks were to be emptied later with boxes shipped to our homes. ALSO I had family that needed to evacuate their homes in SD county & I had to go down there to help them pack up their homes & drive them back to my home. I rec'd my boxes 2 wks later & proceeded to find the certificates. Unfortunately, we couldn't go to the salon on her b-day since I did not have the certificates so I we planned on the 30th. When I found the certificate it stated it expired Oct 22nd. I just happed to have found the certificate on Oct 22nd & I immediately called the salon to get a 2 day extension & left a message for Gigi. She did not return my call. I called back the next day on the 23rd & spoke to the receptionist. Giggi NEVER came to the phone. She spoke to the receptionist who relayed her reply over the phone telling me there is nothing she can do. I was ONLY asking for 2 days of an extension & I did call on the 22nd to see if that was possible. I also told the receptionist about my lay off & how I did not get my boxes back the 20th and found the certificate on the 22nd and saw that it expired. I told them I spent $300 on both certificates and she can't even find it in her heart to give me 2 days!? She put me on hold AGAIN and came back with the reply of no, once again Gigi not coming to the phone, although I could hear her in the background saying no, she can't do it, no. I have very little respect for this woman and her salon. She is a FAR cry from anyone having sympathy and or respect for human feelings, which is unfortunate in our world today. It is a pity to see that there are still such CRASS people in this world.
