Review content:
I cannot express my disappointment in Tony and Tina’s Wedding. My family and I have been to Vegas 10+ times and actively seek out dinner shows. This has been the WORST show we have ever seen. It was a complete waste of my evening. We felt like we were in a hostage situation, and too polite to just walk out. My family and I bought VIP tickets to Tony and Tina’s Wedding in Vegas at the V Theatre. Plot: We were literally given the BEST VIP seats in the house. We were right in the middle of the action… and we had NO IDEA what was going on. No plot at all. Pretty much all the characters were drunk and angry about something. But what were they angry about??? No idea. One character sat down briefly at our table and said something about how her BF didn’t deserve her, but didn’t expand on it. I THINK each character may have had some minor personal story, but hearing a one-line snipit does not a plot make. Characters: All the characters acted (or were) drunk. They just jumped around like a bunch of hooligans. I have been to tamer Frat parties. Food: The meal was poor and the ‘wedding cake’ was a complete joke. The portions were small. Considering I’m a 4ft 11 average-build Asian girl, I could have eaten double what they served. Location/seating: The location was horrible. It was some dark upstairs room with a tiny dance floor. When all the cast members stood on the dance floor, there was no room for anyone else. We sat in the best seats in the house, but we couldn’t see what was going on (if there was anything going on). The rest of the seating was even worse. If you were not a VIP, I can’t imagine you saw anything. Audience Involvement: Weak and borderline offensive. The ONLY way that the audience was asked to get involved was by dancing (and a little singing). The cast tried to encourage us to dance (even though there’s no room on the dance floor). When we refused, they just completely gave up on us and ignored us for the rest of the evening. Other: At the pre-event VIP gathering, we gathered to take our photo. The cast member/photographer took one look at us, and asked another cast member to confirm that we were VIPs. Although I don’t take much offense to the action, it was still inappropriate and rude. Overall: Hostage situation. We should have just walked out.
