Businiess name:  Cangelosi's Pizzeria

Review content:
Cangelosi's Pizza has changed hands as the owner got out of the business. The new name is ""Pomarico's"", and while I'm redoing my review below, I'll put in for a new listing for it: I was a very frequent customer of Cangelosi's, and the owner of that previous incarnation of this spot had his faults, since he was not an experienced restaurant owner. He was a bit stubborn regarding feedback from customers, very quiet in terms of interacting with people, and the decor of the place was more ""sandwich shop"" than ""sit-down restaurant"". However, to his credit, the food was consistently good, there were almost NEVER any errors on orders, and service was usually spot-on unless the place was just swamped. The new owners have renamed it Pomarico's, and they are very nice guys to chat with. Much more personable, and they have invested money into making the interior of the restaurant look more like a place you want to sit in an relax for a while. However, with the transition of ownership, there seems to have been some new problems arise that have pretty much caused me to recently decide to stop going there for the most part. In short, of the last few times I've eaten there, mistakes have been made. The food QUALITY still seems very good. However, on one takeout order, an item was left out of the order. On a sit-down order, toppings ordered for a pizza were left off. On the next takeout order, another item was left out. Once again a sit-down visit, and that time I sat for 10 minutes with an empty drink glass and no one checking on me - and there were only 4 other tables in the restaurant. I have also noticed inconsistency regarding the slices of pizza when ordered as well, as sometimes I'll get a MASSIVE sized slice, and the next time it will be small - like home frozen pizza, etc. On the latest attempt at take-out, I was told to ""hold on for a second"" when they answered, the phone was placed on the bar, and they forgot about me, while for the next 8 minutes I got to listen to various transactions between customers and the cashier, servers and the kitchen, etc. I hung up and called back but wound up canceling my order - I had finally had enough. I do like the pizza at this place and I do like several other items on the menu. But service and accuracy have taken a tremendous dive since the transition. Like many during the recession, I no longer have the same amount of money I once had to eat out with, and I have to give that money to places that act like they really want my money, prepare my orders accurately the way I ask for them, and have good service. I may still go into this place for a slice of pizza on a weekend when I have plenty of time to sit and inspect the food and wait, but my days of ordering takeout are over. Pros: Lots of choices on menu. Cons: Nothing worth freaking out over.
