Review content:
The Canyon Cafe's location is somewhat intimidating but do NOT let that fool you. The food is consistently delicious, the service is perfect, the prices are surprisingly very reasonable (for the location-Frontenac Mall), and the portion sizes are more than filling. The ambiance is friendly and casual and the southwest decor is fun and inviting. I never feel like I'm in a mall. The wait staff will start you out with scrumptious chips (savory and sweet) and great salsa. They sometimes don't offer more but don't be shy to ask for more-they'll be happy to oblige. Their margaritas are good and strong (one makes me tipsy and I'm not a light weight). I have to admit that the only dish I've ever ordered is Poncho's Enchiladas, as my husband and I don't get there as often as we'd like. My husband has ordered different dishes and so have my teenage daughters and they've all been great. Fun place to go with a small group. Makes for a uniquely fun, romantic date also.
Pros: Everything...from location to the bill.
Cons: Just that the location might be intimidating for some and that small kids (under 12) may not jive with the crowd or menu.
