Review content:
I had the pleasure of hiring Tampa Bay Bankruptcy Center as my attorney. When I initially met with Jeffrey Thibault, the attorney who handled my case, I was deep in debt, distraught, and out of options. I felt that since I had a full time job I would be forced to file a Chapter 13 bankruptcy action and be required to make payments to the trustee for three to five years. After assessing my situation, Mr. Thibault told me I would probably qualify for a Chapter 7. Since I had no idea how bankruptcy really worked, I was surprised that I had this option. I was optimistic, but also a little reluctant to let myself believe that this was actually going to work. To my surprise, the next day I received an email stating that I would indeed qualify for a Chapter 7. Over the past several years, I had met with a few other attorneys who did not hold out much hope for me in qualifying for a Chapter 7, and their fees were higher than I anticipated. Tampa Bay Bankruptcy Center’s fee was all inclusive, i.e., it covered everything, including the filing fee, and the fees for the required pre-bankruptcy and post-bankruptcy financial courses. When the time came for me to take those courses, I was sent a link to the appropriate website and took both courses online. Mr. Thibault’s very capable paralegal worked with me to gather all the information needed for the schedules to be filed. It’s a lot of work and you must disclose everything to your attorney so that the information can be filed correctly. The paralegal kept me informed along the way and, to my great relief I am on the very last leg of this journey and am just waiting for the claims bar date to pass to receive my discharge. I would highly recommend Tampa Bay Bankruptcy Center to anyone who is considering filing bankruptcy, but is frightened by the very thought of it. They will give you the correct counseling and be there for you through the entire process.
