Businiess name:  The Monday Room

Review content:
Where do I begin? I am a regular at Public and was intrigued when I heard that they were building the Monday Room as I am a wine lover and also participate in their wine mailbox program. During an evening in The Monday room you will experience excellent service from the staff, a friendly and accomodating greeting by the door staff (even without a reservation they are welcoming, give realistic wait times, walk you to your table etc..) and a superb wine and food adventure. The small plates menu has been an alternative dinnner spot for my friends and I, when we are in the mood for a different menu than Public. Another plus is that recently they have created an area for outdoor seating. The Sommelier is very knowledgable and friendly, makes you feel very welcome. He seems genuinely pleased that you are there and enjoying the wine and food, which can just be rare experience in New York. Service at it's absolute best. Pros: 60 wines by the glass and terrific small plates menu Cons: If i had to mention one thing it would be that they are not open Sunday nights
