Review content:
I've been looking for a casting agency for a long time now. I first visited a company that wanted me to pay for photographs and that completely turned me off. Before going to the City Model & Talent office, I asked a representative there named ""Amy/Coco"" if I would have to pay any fees. She said no; I was relieved. When I got to the office, I was surprised to see how inviting and promoting it was. There were photoboards and magazine cut outs of ""their"" individuals on the walls. Their receptionist was on the phone with someone i assume to be their ""client."" She was telling them about an upcoming gig BUT it was a contest. I wondered to myself, If this is a casting agency, why would you be competing... Either way, I met with the director Jack Mitchell, Immediately he began telling me how beautiful I was and showing me success stories. He spent his time pointing out big names but luckily for me, I noticed the dates on them of 2006/2009. Then he pulled out a list of prices to show me for ""photography"" packages. There was one for $950 and he told me, he'd knock $200 off for me. The he started asking me for money/ credit card payment. I told him I didn't have any and he said ""who's out there waiting for you, maybe they can pay it for you."" Really? He told me I had to leave a deposit, and I told him I didn't have one. He said not even $20? He seemed so money hungry, I was just glad to get out of there.
