Review content:
It's pretty terrifying - one moment, you're calmly doing your work, saving your documents, and everything is fine. THe next moment, the hard drive suddenly claims it's empty. What in the world!? It's like a kick in the stomach.\r
\r
After this happened, I ran to Office Max, which is where I bought the hard drive, but of course they couldn't help. They don't touch data loss, it's not their responsibility to handle. Next tried tech support, but it's the same thing. Contacted the manufacturer, still no cookie. I was pretty much out of options, so I started looking at data recovery companies, which I never really trusted. Rather reluctantly, I turned to Data Recovery Services-LA.\r
\r
But my experience turned out to be ok, after all. In fact, a few days after dropping off the hard drive at their office, I got a call that the recovery operation was complete. I found out they managed to recover all of the data onto a new, identical drive - and it's like nothing ever happened, except of course that my wallet was a bit lighter.\r
\r
I was rather impressed and very greatful, and I would recommend Data Recovery Services-LA to others if they need it.\r
Pros: Quick service, superior notification system
