I'm a huge Cuban sandwich fan so I wandered into Copa Cabana for lunch and orderd the Cuban sandwich, which was awesome! The owner came to our table and also encouraged us to try some other Cuban specialties that have been in her family for years. They were so good, one dish was called Ropa Viejo and it was the most tender and flavorful pulled pork I have ever had! We also had plantains made in different ways. For appetizer, they are crispy chips with a tangy, delicious dipping sauce. The plantains that came with the meal were cooked tender and had a beautiful sweetness. The atmosphere in Copa Cabana is very welcoming and I'm told that at night, it is not uncommon for people to be moved by the latin music and dance on top of their tables! I am going to go back for drinks and dinner this weekend!
