Review content:
I was intrigued by the Kansas City Strip based on the reviews found here. However, based on the fact that the waitress was unable to describe where the KC strip was cut from, and the fact that a friend who worked at the Sullivan's in Austin recommended the ribeye, I chose to order the ribeye. And I was very, very glad I did. Those who ordered the KC strip at my table were sorely disappointed, and rightfully so; it was a stringy, chewy piece of meat. Not suitable for $10, much less $35. On the other hand, the ribeye was one of the ten best steaks I've ever eaten, and those are big words for me. All at the table who tried it agreed that it was a fantastic piece of meat. Those who ordered tenderloins, which was most of my group, were all happy with their orders, but none got as high of marks as the ribeye. Other things I recommend: the wedge salad with blue cheese and the button mushrooms as sides. (The creamed spinach, potatoes au gratin, and the mac and cheese were good, but nothing special.)
Pros: the ribeye, wedge salad, mushroom side
Cons: Kansas City Strip
