Review content:
On the positive side, Adams Flooring worked extra long hours to get the flooring installed between the time the builder gave the OK and we were scheduled to move in. Here is the negative side: 1. Adams did not know the lead time from order until delivery of the wood we had selected. They missed by 6 weeks 2. Adams did not know, or did not bother to tell us, about the soft nature of the particular kind of wood we purchased. We have a dog and kids and now the wood is all scratched and looks terrible. Come to find out, this cherry wood is not nearly as hard as oak and we would have stuck with a harder species had we been told. Isn't that what sales people are for, to be the experts? 3. The floors creak now wherever you walk, 4. Adams did not install a boundary of wood around the slate fireplace hearth - just butted the ends of the boards against it. Now, the boards have expanded and cracked the slate. 5. I called Adams numerous times about getting a price for having them come back out and lay a boundary around the hearth. After my first call in which I left a message, they returned the call the next day, but I was not home to take it. I called four more times over the next three weeks and left messages that were never returned. On the fifth call, Adams answered and said they would get back to me with a price. But two weeks later, I still have not heard from them. I give up. 6. Adams did not show up with the material required to finish the job - specifically a threshold for my master bathroom. They had several months to order this material prior to beginning, but they did not. After the job was done, they supposedly ordered the threshold. One month goes by, then 2, then 3, then 4, then 5 months later, they get the threshold in. All along, I am calling and emailing about what the status is, but they never respond. You be the judge. I don't trust them because Ann Adams is so unresponsive which is incredibly unprofessional, especially after I spent $25,000 with them! Cons: responsiveness
