Spending four days in Albany we drove by the sign for Grandmas and decided that you can't get any better than a place named Grandmas so we eagerly stopped for dinner. I guess my first mistake was ordering one of the specials, lasagna, since it wasn't an Italian restaurant. The salad and the turkey cream soup were palatable but the lasagna arrived warm around the edges and stone cold inside. Not a very tasty treat. The waitress seemed to disappear and never returned to ask how things were or whether we wanted refills of our drinks. My wife had quiche which was acceptable but not really too much so. My daughter had spaghetti and, again, this wasn't an Italian place and we should have taken that into consideration. At any rate, I've had much better food other places and if and when I return to Albany, I won't be eating at Grandmas. Pros: Easy to get to. Cons: Not very tasty.
