Review content:
I recently had total knee replacaement in Banner Baywood. When I woke up 7 hours later in receovery I woke up screaming in pain because my leg was already infected with a staph infection. All the staff kept trying to tell me my leg was not infected. For the next 3 days I was in and out of 3 different care homes in the East Valley. Each time the care home knew for 8 hours or more that I was coming. Each time I went when I got there none of my pain medication was available. I was in excruciating pain so I left and went back to the emergency room at Banner. Each morning they told me I had to leave to a care home cause my insurance would not pay for me to stay there. I went to a care home, no medication, to Gilbert Hospital where they pumped me full of antibiotics. When I woke up I was back at Banner Baywood. No member of staff at Banner would admit my leg was infected. I went to Bannner Gateway for help and was sent back to Banner Baywood. They finally labeled me as someone with drug seeking behavior and no hospital in their system would treat me. I only required the drugs that my Dr. prescribed. Where was all the pain medicine going. Why couldnt I get my prescibed medication at the care homes. Why was all the staff covering up my staph infection. If you have ever had a staph infection while being in the Banner Baywood Hospital I would like to hear from you. deasterday@live
