Review content:
I have 2 kids (ages 4.5 and 3) who have been attending Heidi's House since last November. After switching from another daycare, we were pleasantly surprised to see the different practices and policies that were in place to ensure the safety and overall well-being of the children. Most of those practices and policies are in place in order to comply with the NAEYC Accreditation, however both the administrators and the teachers go above and beyond those requirements.
I believe that the first question you should ask when you tour a daycare facility is ""How is your teacher turnover rate?"" That is a simple question and should be answered very easily. If there is a high rate of turnover, you should stay away from that place, as it's an indication of how the place is run. If the teachers are happy to be there, your kids will be happy. My daughter cries almost every time when it's time to pick her up.
Another important point is that the teachers observe every child on a daily basis on many aspects of their development and are wonderful at getting the parents involved in what is going on in the classroom, which is very important to me.
Last, but not least, their Conflict Resolution methods work incredibly teaching the kids how to communicate their thoughts and emotions in a kind and effective way.
Over the last several months, I have observed that Heidi has built a ""House"" for children as a result of a lot of work, care and dedication. She has a great team in place and they are there for the families. I would highly recommend Heidi's House.
