Review content:
We had a written contract with Certified Van Lines for 1pm. They showed up at 8:45am. We work all week and had been prepared to use that morning to finish packing. When we explained this, the mover called his manager who told us we could either move right then or hire different movers. This is after we gave them a $50 deposit, which they kept. This was unbelievably unprofessional. If you need to change the time of the move, you need to call and ask the customer, not just show up early. Also, if you have a written contract that states one time, after asking, you need to send an updated contract. I'm sure they do this often and people are so worried about finding movers, they just go ahead with it. Well, we didn't - we found another GREAT moving company, Nifty Movers, at short notice on a holiday weekend and Certified was out another $300 plus tips. It makes no sense. Shady, shady.
