I had been a patient of this business for a number of years and never had an experience like I had tonight. I selected a pair of frames 2 weeks ago 9/19/12 and order a new pair of glasses from them. I paid the entire balance in full and even have a receipt that states ""No balance due"". They called today to say the glasses were in and ready to be picked up so I stopped on my way home from work. After I finally got someone to wait on me I was told I owed a balance on the glasses. I explained that I had the receipt at home that showed I paid the entire amount of the bill. It didn't matter. Someone there screwed up the order and now I owed an additional $25. If I didn't pay up I couldn't have the glasses. What was I supposed to do? I paid it and fumed about it the whole way home. How could they do this? Is this how they treat others? I didn't screw up, my insurance company didn't screw up and no one called me before placing the order to get my okay for the more expensive item. Once I got home I contacted my bank and filed a complaint against them. Here's the real kicker, my bank credited the funds back into my account but they won't go after this business to recoup the funds. The amount is too small to them, it obviously wasn't to me. So my only recourse is to tell my family and friends about this experience, post my opinion here and not go back to a business that treats it's long time customers this way. The end
